School Site Council
Inviting All Parents: School Site Council

The School Site Council is made up of parents, teachers, classified staff, and students and must exist as part of the governance of the school. This body makes some key decisions about budget and provides guidance to the staff and administration. It is also an effective way to understand the school, the budget, and the district. AFE has had several dedicated parents who have given many hours of their time to the running of the school. I hope they will continue and we would like to add more parents to this process.

Our Site Council continues to meet monthly to guide AFE staff with decision making, promote family and student needs, and organize family efforts in support of AFE. We usually meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month, 12:30–1:30 in Room 1. Meeting dates for 2010–2011 are October 25, November 22, January 24, February 28, March 27 & April 24. All students and family members are welcome!
