Alternative Family Education (AFE) is an independent home study school provided for kindergarten through twelfth grade students and families who prefer an individualized approach to education, combined with the support of school district resources. See the About AFE page for more information.

• AFE Beach Bonfire — Join us for a Beach Bonfire at Twin Lakes Beach, Friday, May 24th, 6–10 pm. All AFE families are invited!
• JSA Superhero Dance — Saturday, May 31, 7–10 pm, Multipurpose Room. Fundraiser for AFE and scholarships for JSA conventions! Dress up as your favorite superhero, either an existing one or your own invention!
• The last day to return library books is May 31. Textbooks due June 4. Any questions see Mollie or Dorothee.
• Lemon-Aid (AFE fundraiser for Doctors without Borders) — Saturday, June 1st. PLEASE DONATE books and small toys (as prizes for winning games) in the boxes in the RC hallway!
• End-of-Year Celebration — Friday, June 7th, 5–8 pm AFE at Harvey West Park.
• AFE Graduation Night — Thursday, June 13th, 7–9 pm in the Multipurpose Room. Congratulations Graduates!
• Our Site Council meets monthly to guide AFE staff with decision making, discuss family and student needs, and organize family efforts in support of AFE. We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, 12:30–1:30 in AFE Room 1. Our next meeting is May 21st. All students and family members are welcome!
